ManTech Senior Security Analyst-PERSEC Database Administrator in Washington, District Of Columbia

Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Security Analyst-PERSEC Database Administrator to join our team in the Lorton, VA area.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Serve as subject matter expert for the SIMSoftware, interfacing between SIMSoftware experts, ManTech Jasper team members and the DOE customers.

  • Assures the proper use of current or requested testing and documentation techniques. Produces, reviews substantive and complex documentation reflecting detailed knowledge of areas as identified in the statement of work.

  • Identify high risk areas and presenting recommendations to management.

  • Analyze and manage program metrics to ensure that all are in accordance with contract guidelines.

  • Support team in executing project tasks/activities, supervise work completion, perform quality reviews, and report progress.

  • Interacts with both internal and external clients to satisfy their needs regarding information, personnel, and program security issues.

  • Acts occasionally as the intermediary between internal staff offices and between government officer and contractors.

  • May develop educational material, which initiates, indoctrinates, or refreshes the knowledge about the JASPER database and government security policy.

  • May develop, produce, and deliver audio/visual presentations to large audiences on topics related to personnel security and SIMS database.

  • Assist with the hands-on, consultation, analysis performance and execution of security functions to effectively support the customer to ensure all personnel security tasks and reports are incorporated in the JASPER SIMS database including review and Process SAP Nomination Packets; facilitate the Program Access Request process by assisting in record creation, routing, and tracking of access status.

  • Review and process SAP Nomination Packets; track Pre-Screening Security Questionnaires (PSQ) and applicable templates for annual reviews, request. Assist with the implementation and training and maintenance of the centralized SAP Personnel Access database system and tracks the status of Program Access cases and Program training records of all accessed individuals.

Required Experience:

  • Requires min 5 years of security experience providing technical support to Special Access Programs (SAP), Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and Collateral security oversight and management functions to support the DOE mission with expert knowledge and experience in supporting personnel security programs. Effective performance requires ability to comprehensively support tasks and provide SME-level guidance to the team. Requires Security Specialist with in-depth and/or expert knowledge of SAP, SCI, and Collateral security databases.

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to lead and provide direction to highly technical personnel delivering complex technical solutions.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook) and database programs to track office reporting.

Minimum Education :

  • High School diploma and 8 years in a related security function required.

Security Clearance :

  • TS/SCI with eligibility for SAP; PR within 5 years or enrolled in CE, deferred. Drug test required and must have/be subject to a CI poly.

Desired Experience/Clearance :

  • Bachelors of Arts or Sciences with 10+ years of related security experience is preferred. Q clearance preferred; experience using SIMs databases preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 75%

  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office.

  • The person in this position will need to be able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
